Triple Falls are approximately 0.3 mi from the Hooker Falls Parking area. The trail starts southeast of the bridge and follows the river up stream, it is improved and the access is not difficult. This view is from the first overlook near the rest area and picnic shelter. The trail continues on up to the upper falls and thence to the Grassy Creek Falls cut off and on to High Falls. |

From Crab Creek Road take Dupont Road South .8 mi to Sky Valley Road on the left, hence 1.7 mi. to DSF Parking area. The trail starts at the back of the parking lot go south on ( #49 ) .2 mi. to ( #55 ) Tarkiln Branch Rd. continue .4 mi. to fork left on ( #56 ) Tarkiln Trail ( a shortcut for hikers ) and back into ( #55) for .35 mi. to fork, left on ( #18 ) Grassy Creek Rd. .35 mi. to fork left on ( #63) Wintergreen Falls Trail, follow for .15 mi to Falls. The trail full is about 1.6 mi. one way, generally down hill, even and drops 160 ft. Allow 30 to 45 min each way. Last .05 mi. rough. |
