Toms Spring Branch, Davidson River

AKA Daniel Ridge Falls & Toms Spring Falls

Go WNW  from Ranger Station on US Hwy 276 to FS 475 which forks west continue past The Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education following the Davidson River to the second group camp ground parking area north of the road. Falls are about .4 mi. from parking area,  hike the main trail across the concrete bridge and then take the east ( right ) fork in the gravel trail, you will pass the Daniel Ridge Loop Trail going off to the left just before you are in view of the falls. Trail is a gravel uniform mild uphill grade. Viewable from the trail.

Catheys Creek, French Broad River

Located off US Hwy 64 west of Brevard on Catheys Creek Road ( SR 1338) go north to FS 471 continue 3.1 mi. to a right bend in the road with the creek on your right, ( if  you come to the bridge you are too far and at the top of the cascades but there's no view.) there is a small pullover at the center of the curve and the .1 mi. trail starts here, this trail is steep and slippery.
